We are delighted that the first round of registered developers have activated their registration with the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB). We are pleased to confirm that the following accounts have also been activated with the New Homes Ombudsman service on 4th October:
Our Casework Manager, Paula Braceland, has been in touch with the developers to make introductions and offer system training. We look forward to welcoming the next cohort of developers and their customers to our service and will be in touch with future developers as their accounts are activated.
What does this mean?
Customers of developers who have activated their registration with NHQB can raise complaints against builders with NHOS and have their case considered (conditions apply).
We will not be able to accept complaints against builders and developers who are not yet activated. If you are a customer and would like to check if your developer is registered, click here.
Next steps
We will keep the process for onboarding new registered developers under review to make it as flexible and transparent as possible for developers and their customers. A further update to allow the addition of multiple users will be released shortly.
This may take a few weeks to implement but will be in place before the date on which NHOS can start considering complaints against builders, so this should not cause you any problems. This update aside, activated accounts are good to go.
If you have any questions about using the NHOS service and what we can offer, you can reach our team on 03308 084 286 or customer.services@nhos.org.uk
