New Homes Ombudsman, Alison MacDougall joins NHBC’s BfT tour

As the June 2023 deadline to implement the interim uplift to Part L approaches and with the Future Homes Standard on the horizon, house builders and their contractors must consider how to design and comply with the new requirements in an effective way. NHBC have been on the road presenting their Building for Tomorrow events.

Building for Tomorrow 2023 will provide strategies and solutions to this challenge along with the very latest industry changes emerging from the Building Safety Act.

NHBC explain “Protecting the homeowner and occupier’s interests at a time of such extraordinary change is also paramount, ensuring that their needs and comfort are fully considered. House builders also need to maintain overall customer satisfaction levels and successfully manage both the Consumer Code and the New Homes Quality Code. Expert speakers will offer insight into key quality and claims data and share case studies to show how correct detailing and finish can make all the difference to ensure satisfaction in the future.”

The New Homes Ombudsman, Alison MacDougall is one of the key speakers at the events and aims to provide further explanation of who the New Homes Ombudsman Service (NHOS) are and how we are able to help. Although NHOS has been set up to help homebuyers resolve a range of issues throughout the journey of buying a new home, the New Homes Ombudsman aim to help improve the quality of complaint handling within the industry, raise standards and improve the overall customer experience.
